Overjet correction using six month smiles in Middleton

Some patients come to us because their teeth are crooked or spaced but another common complaint is that the upper front teeth stick out too much. There are a number of reasons that this can occur. It can be because of protruding upper front teeth or it can be due to a small lower jaw.

Mr Winston uses clear braces for bride to be in Rochdale

We recently finished a clear braces treatment for a young girl from the Bamford area in Rochdale. She came to the practice in August last year with moderate crowding/overlapping of her teeth and was looking for a rapid result as she was getting married in March.

We are always up for a challenge at Mossley Dental and thanks to the rapid tooth movements that are possible with modern braces we were able to straighten her front teeth and then whiten them before she got married.

Her comment at the end of her treatment was “If I new this was going to be so easy I would have done it years ago!”

Six month smiles in Rochdale

Mossley Dental Care caters for both adults and children who want straight teeth. Treatment options vary slightly between adults and children but there is no age limit to having your teeth straightening. Rochdale patients choose between six month smiles and Invisalign

Patients are travelling to Mossley Dental Care to see Mr Winston because he has a postgraduate degree in orthodontics and is experienced in many different orthodontic appliance systems. Two of the most popular systems are Six Month Smiles or Invisalign.

Six Month Smiles is a fixed on brace which is made of clear materials so is not very noticeable and very discreet. Most of our adult patients dont want metal braces and so the clear ones are a great alternative.

On the other hand Invisalign of a transparent thin plastic “gum shield” which covers your teeth and can be taken in and out for eating and cleaning. It takes a little longer to work but is a bit less noticeable than six month braces.

People from Ashton-Under-Lyne have invisible braces

Orthodontists have for a long time treated patients with braces for two years or more. In some cases this is necessary but in others it is possible to straighten the front teeth in about six months using invisible braces. We had a patient come to see us from Ashton-Under-Lyne the other week and she had been told that she needed four extractions and about two years of braces. Whilst we know that this is necessary in some cases there are other options and we were able to offer her an alternative treatment plan where she could achieve a fantastic smile using clear braces in about six months. Of course she jumped at the chance to have invisible braces for such a short time.

Invisalign orthodontics in Ashton Under Lyne

There are a number of choices available at Mossley Dental Care for adult patients who want tooth straightening. Not all patients will consider fixed on braces even if they are clear. We therefore offer our patients from around Tameside and Ashton Under Lyne Invisalign braces.

This tooth straightening method uses clear plastic aligners which are removable and are taken in and out for eating and cleaning. They are practically invisible and are more discreet than fixed braces.

Mr Winston has been an Invisalign provider for a number of years and has treated a number of difficult cases with great results. They can work very quickly but probably take a bit longer than our six month brace system. However, for those people who perhaps because of their job dont want the fixed options, Invisalign works really well.

We offer flexible payment plans to all our orthodontic patients along with free home tooth whitening at the end of your treatment and we use the best retainers (both fixed and removable) to ensure your smile stays nice and straight.
