General Dentistry

The cornerstone of all that we do here at the Practice is our focus on maintaining good dental health.

A great smile means a healthy, happy and confident you. However, often the importance of good oral health is overlooked in the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

With over 25 years of experience, Mossley Dental is built upon the belief that everyone should have access to outstanding dental treatment.

Whether you need your 6 month dental check-up or a visit with the hygienist, our team of dentists and hygienists are dedicated to providing you with the highest standard of dental care. Obviously dental issues can occur at all hours of the day which is why we ensure that every person is seen to on the same day as their emergency.

What we do

It is our responsibility to find, treat and provide the services you need to maintain the best oral health. We offer everything from dental implants, sealants, orthodontics and cosmetic procedures to oral surgery, teeth cleanings and gum disease treatment.

Prior to any of these treatment options, we encourage our patients and prospective clients to come in for a consultation to meet the practitioners and discuss the best plan for your smile.

At Mossley we offer an affordable monthly membership plan, all our treatments are redundancy protected and we have worldwide cover under our insurance in the case of a dental trauma.

We deliver the best dental care to all of our customers because our family and cosmetic practice complies with all current sterilisation and cross-infection procedures.

Our team are passionate about providing both preventative, orthodontic and maintenance care to give you the confidence that can only come from a great smile.

How to keep good dental hygiene?

Firstly it is important to visit the dentist regularly and if recommended see a dental hygienist for scaling and polishing of your teeth. In addition to the “cleaning” that the hygienist will do, they will also provide you with appropriate oral hygiene advice and dietary advice in order to minimise the chance of future problems with your teeth and gums.

Good oral hygiene involves good twice daily tooth brushing with both an electric or manual toothbrush and interdental cleaning using either floss or specially designed interdental brushes. The most important thing is good plaque removal from the surface of your teeth and gums.

Some people are more prone to gum disease and the advice you receive from our dentists and hygienists will be tailored to your needs.

How often should I have check up at the dentist?

Check-up intervals are determined by our dentists who will assess your teeth and gums and recommend a plan which is tailored to your needs. Check-up intervals can vary between every three months and every two years depending on your needs. Mr Winston and Mr Watson are very experienced in providing high quality dental care and will advise you on what is best for you.

How often should I use Dental Floss?

Our hygienists will recommend whether you should use dental floss or interdental brushes. However, one or the other should be used once per day.

It is important to realise that tooth brushing alone will not remove the plaque from between your teeth and interdental cleaning is vital for good dental health and to prevent gum disease.
