Mossley Dental Care has provided orthodontic treatments for patients for over 20 years.

Mr Winston provides the full range of orthodontic services and has been at the practice since the year 2000 serving the orthodontic needs of our patients.

Many people many think that braces are just for teenagers but Mr Winston treats both children and adults as there is no age limit to having your teeth straightened. We usually wait until the adult teeth have erupted to start treatment although there are some exceptions to this when it is advised to start treatment earlier. At the other end of the spectrum, we have treated patients in their 70s.

Modern orthodontic treatment has advanced in many ways over the years and we are now able to treat very complex teeth alignment issues with state of the art appliances.

Mr Winston has a postgraduate masters of science degree in orthodontics and offers a full range of brace types including Invisalign, fixed metal braces, fixed ceramic braces and lingual braces.

We often use a type of fixed brace called Damon braces which are a high quality brace system and are available in either metal or ceramic (clear). Damon braces are quick and comfortable. Although teeth extractions are sometimes necessary to create space when aligning teeth we do try and avoid this if possible.

At Mossley Dental Care we can also correct increased overbites and overjets with modern brace systems. Mr Winston has experience using a type of appliance called a Carriere Motion appliance which can correct complex bite problems and can be used alongside either Invisalign or fixed braces.
