Fixed on braces have been around for years and traditionally looked like metal "train tracks" and took 2-3 years to work.

This is no longer the case!

More and more adults are requesting straight teeth and in the last few years there has been an explosion in interest from all age groups in the six month smiles technique. This technique utilises tooth coloured attachments and wires which are far less noticeable and show no metal at all. What is even more spectacular is that utilising state of the art arch wire technology these treatments can be completed in around six months.

Mr Winston has been providing this technology to his adult patients with spectacular results.

You might ask what is the catch? How can this be possible? The answer is simple. Many children need major alterations to their bite and so brace work can take about 2 years not only to make the front teeth nice and straight but also to "fix" the bite problems that are due to growth discrepancies (Damon braces are brilliant at doing this!). When most adults come into Mossley Dental Care and ask Mr Winston about braces they are prmarily interested in achieving a nice smile. The main concerns are crooked, overlapping, or gappy front teeth. This means moving the front teeth without making any major alterations to the bite which can be done in about six months with tooth coloured braces.
