Invisalign treatment for patients from Middleton in Manchester

Mr Winston has offered Invisalign treatment for a number of years now. He has seen the system develop into the modern brace system that is available today. There have been many improvments to Invisalign tooth straightening braces over the years which include optimised attachments so that some of the more difficult tooth  movements are now possible with the system. The clear aligner system also uses a feature called power ridges in some cases which allow “torqueing” of the tooth roots which means that you can now do more than just tip the teeth with clear aligners you can carry out more complex bodily movements of the tooth rather than just tipping it.

However, the truth is that any invisible brace system or lingual brace systems is only as good as the person providing the treatment and Mr Winston has many years experience and a postgraduate degree in orthodontics. Manchester residents love invisible braces

At Mossley Dental Practice every week many patients from all around Manchester come the practice with similar stories. Many times we hear from people in their 20s or 30s and they tell us that their teeth used to be straight but that in the last few years they have started to  overlap. Many of these people think that this is because their wisdom teeth have pushed through. But the research shows  that this is probably not the cause in most people.

Sadly teeth move throughout life. It is a natural ageing process. Just as the rest of your body changes as you get older the same  is true with your teeth. Sadly if you have had orthodontic treatment in the past but either not worn or not been provided with retainers then as you have got older your teeth may have moved a bit. Manchester residents smile about Six Month Smiles

In Manchester Mr Winston is providing Six Month Smiles treatment for his adult patients and as the name suggests most cases are completed in about six months. These adult braces use clear brackets and tooth coloured wires to move teeth quickly into their desired position.

Six Month Smiles is a non-extraction approach to treatment where space is created to align crooked teeth without removing healthy premolars. This means that treatment can be completed much quicker than traditional comprehensive orthodontics.

Inman aligner patients in Manchester achieve straight teeth

The Inman aligner was developed in the USA a number of years ago because of an increasing demand for rapid tooth straightening. Now this demand from patients has travelled across the Atlantic to the UK and Manchester people are benefiting from this removable brace.

The brace is primarily for adult patients with mild to moderate irregularity in their front teeth. It places light pressure on the front and back surfaces of the front teeth using forces from small coil springs which place just the right amount of force to achieve optimal tooth movement. Choose between lingual braces or Invisalign in Manchester

Crooked or overlapped front teeth are very common. Although there are many theories about what causes it to happen we dont really know for sure what the main cause is. We do know that it has become much more common and severe in the last few hundred years which brings in the possibility that it is due to a change in our environment because of modern living. One theory is that it is due to changes in our diets in modern times or it could be to do with pollutants in our cities which could have caused allergies which have affected the growth of our jaws and teeth. It is also true that some patterns of abnormal development of the teeth run in families so there is may be a genetic component to the problem.

Whatever the cause it is very common to see people in their twenties and thirties whose teeth are getting worse with age.
